I did not write this - but WOW does it speak to my heart!!! Worth the read. Barely the day started and... it's already six in the evening. Barely arrived on Monday and it's already Friday. ... and the month is already over. ... and the year is almost over. ... and already 40, 50 or 60 years of our lives have passed. ... and we realize that we lost our parents, friends. and we realize it's too late to go back... So... Let's try, despite everything, to enjoy the remaining time... Let's keep looking for activities that we like... Let's put some color in our grey... Let's smile at the little things in life that put balm in our hearts. And despite everything, we must continue to enjoy with serenity this time we have left. Let's try to eliminate the afters... I'm doing it after... I'll say after... I'll think about it after... We leave everything for later like ′′ after ′′ is ours. Because what we don't understand is that: Afterwards, the coffee gets cold... afterwards, priorities change... Afterwards, the charm is broken... afterwards, health passes... Afterwards, the kids grow up... Afterwards parents get old... Afterwards, promises are forgotten... afterwards, the day becomes the night... afterwards life ends... And then it's often too late.... So... Let's leave nothing for later... Because still waiting see you later, we can lose the best moments, the best experiences, best friends, the best family... The day is today... The moment is now... We are no longer at the age where we can afford to postpone what needs to be done right away.

My mom thanked me last night. She babysat, and SHE thanked ME?! She never taught my brother or me to self-soothe. We shared her bed. We took our naps in her arms. She breastfed till we naturally weaned . . . And one day, all of that came to an end. One day, we turned into cranky and unruly teenagers who wanted to be with our friends over her. And then even later on, one day we both got married and had families of our own. Last night, my husband and I went out. Not far. And we weren’t late. But when we got back, I went upstairs and found my children asleep in my mother's arms in the same way that they fall asleep in my arms every night. And in the same way that my brother and I had fallen asleep in her arms every night. They all looked so calm and peaceful. I asked if she was okay, and she smiled through faint tears. She thanked me for giving her these moments back. These moments that she never imagined possible to experience again . . . she thought that these days had well and truly passed. She told me that no matter how hard she tries, she can’t remember the last time she held me. She can’t remember my last feed. She can’t even remember the last time that I climbed into her bed in the middle of the night asking her for a cuddle . . . But when she held her grandchildren to sleep, it gave her an emotional reminder of what it was like. How beautiful it felt. How special it was. Because these moments won’t last forever. Even though sometimes they feel like they will. She told me how lucky I am that I get to do this every single night. And how fortunate I am that I get to do so for a little while longer. I smiled. She is right. Even on those long nights when I don’t believe that to be the case—I am most definitely lucky. Shared with permission from Mrs. Mombastic

Just had to re-share… I want you to look at this photo. I mean -really- look at it. What do you see? Two women. Two battles. Two hearts. Two souls. Two bodies. When you look at this photo, try not to judge. Instead, try to understand that we all face our own battles every day. Some we might share with others, some we keep to ourselves. They might be obvious. They might not be. Everyone is facing something they struggle with. EVERYONE. And no matter what separates your battles from hers, his battles from theirs, we are ALL human. Be kind ❤

Just. Let. Them. * If they don't show up, let them. * If they choose to not be present in your life, let them. * If they are okay with never seeing you, let them. * If they act like they can live without you, let them. Let them show you who they truly are, and not just tell you. Let them prove how worthy they are of your time. Let them take the necessary steps to be a part of your life. Let. them. lose. you If they walk out of your life, hold the damn door open, AND LET THEM.
